Marie was born December 19, 1920 to Victor and Zera Samford. She was a long-time member of St. Luke's Methodist Church of Kilgore, Texas and attended Freedom Fellowship Church after moving to Palestine, Texas. Marie was devoted to her family, church, and friends. She crocheted many blankets and cooked many delicious meals for those in need. She loved to sew, bake, work crossword puzzles, and travel. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Rev. H. Chad Murray, and her son Capt. H. Edward Murray.
Marie is survived by her daughter Janet Murray Stulce (Ted Stulce) of Palestine, TX; her grandson Jason Murray, granddaughters Jennifer Murray, Eryn Rowland (Joe Rowland), and Brel Clark; her great grandsons Brennan Czajka, Cohen Cashman, and Logan Cashman, and her great granddaughter Lillian Taylor.
Mrs. Murray will be interred with her husband at Lakeview Funeral Home and Mausoleum. She requested that there be no funeral, and in lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Freedom Fellowship Church, P.O. Box 907, Palestine TX 75802.
