Annie Ruth Ryan

Annie Ruth Brown Ryan, 83 of Kilgore passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday morning March 24,2011.

She was born May 13,1927 in Pleasant Hill, La., to Larry Franklin Brown and Annie Murphrey Brown.

She spent most of her life in East Texas and was united in marriage to Sidney Rufus Ryan on June 9,1949. She and Sidney were the parents of three children; daughter Mary Ruth Ryan Peppers and sons Sidney Scott Ryan and Peter Carl Ryan.

Annie had 10 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.She was a Baptist, a homemaker, a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Annie had four sisters, Doris Brown Garrett, Frankie Brown Leftwich, Edna Brown Hudgens and Rose Anita Brown, and two brothers, Larry Douglas Brown and Larry (Buddy) Roland Brown.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sidney, her parents Larry and Annie, her sister Rose Anita, both of her brothers Larry and Buddy and her son, Peter.

Public viewing and family visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at the Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road in Longview, and a graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens 3 p.m. Sunday, March 27 with the Reverend Rebecca Adams officiating.
