

Billy J. Morton, 82, of Liberty City passed away on January 12, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Morton was born June 28, 1932 in Dallas, Texas to Jimmie D. and Ida V. Morton. He married Patricia Rose McEnrue in 1952 and served four years in the United States Navy. He worked in the oil field industry most of his adult life, including working as a plant foreman for Magna Corp and then retiring from Bolt Fuel Oil.
Mr. Morton enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Patricia Morton of Liberty City; son: Michael Morton and his wife Cynthia of Hideaway, TX; daughter: Vicky Warlick and her husband Mike of Liberty City; son: Matthew Morton of Liberty City; daughter: Patti Hodges and her husband Riley of Gilmer; grandchildren: Cheyenne Alexander and her husband Craig of Jenks, OK, Eric Olson and his wife Maggie of Houston, TX, Staci Freeman and her husband Tyler of Bixby, OK, Jenna Warlick of Liberty City; six great grandchildren; sister: Jackie Snow and her husband Ron of Navasota, TX; sister-in-law: Linda Morton of Denton, TX; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Martha Rector and Jessie Giles; and brother: Jimmy D. Morton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
