Cecil Causey

She was born on August 13, 1929 in Franklin Parish, Louisiana to Marvin Emmer and Ruby Rowena Hurlong. Billie was raised in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana and graduated from Columbia High School in 1946. She married Clyde Ivan Causey in 1946 and the couple had 2 children. She was a housewife and cook at Gladewater Hospital, where she worked for more than 10 years.

In her spare time, Billie enjoyed arts and crafts, especially oil painting with her best friend, Nancy Sypert. Her family and friends will remember her as a sweet, caring, Christian woman. She loved her family very much, especially her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ivan, parents, her sisters Pearly and Lorene, brother Andrew, and her son Marvin.

She is survived by her: son, Clyde and wife Robin Causey; granddaughter, Stacy Martin and her children Andrew, Garrison, and daughter Charlee; grandson, David Cody and wife Codie Causey, and their daughter Korbyn and son Gibson; grandson, Randall Horton and wife Candy, and their children Carter, Maddy, and Olivia; and Marvin's stepdaughter Waynell Mount.

A committal service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, located at 5000 W Harrison Rd, Longview, TX, 75604, United States. The service is scheduled for January 5, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
