Born with a gentle heart and a giving spirit, Doris devoted her life to kindness, family, and the things she loved most. She retired from Kilgore College after a remarkable 30-year career, serving from 1993 to 2023. Her dedication, warmth, and steady presence touched countless coworkers and students throughout the years.
Doris had a deep love for animals and found joy and relaxation in crocheting. She will be remembered for her compassion, her soft strength, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Doris is survived by her son, Joseph Voss, her daughter-in-law, Heather Voss, her sister, Linda Castillo, and her beloved grandchildren, Brock and Blake, who brought immense pride and happiness to her life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church, with the date to be announced. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
Doris Ann Johnson will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
