Dorothy Louise Hixon

Services for Dorothy Louise Payne Hixon, 88, of Longview will be at 3 PM, Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bobby Moore officiating. Mrs. Hixon passed away Saturday, November 3rd at her residence.

Mrs. Hixon was born May 20, 1924 in Emory, Texas to Francis Monroe Payne and Bessie May Edgar Payne. She was owner of Dot’s Beauty Shop on Old Highway 80 for forty years. She was a member of Greggton First Baptist Church and a member of the Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society where she was a past officer. She was a friend to everyone and a dedicated helper to many.

Mrs. Hixon is survived by four children and their spouses: Ken and Judy Selph of Sanger, Texas, Jerry and Sharon Selph of Lake Dallas, Texas, Linda and Joey Willadsen of Linden, Texas, and Bruce and Brenda Selph of Union Grove, Texas, also, one brother, Jimmy Payne and his wife Frances Payne of Garrison, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Hixon, her parents, a sister Marie Payne Phillips, and a brother William Francis (Buddy) Payne.

Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons: Ken Selph, Jerry Selph, Bruce Selph, Andrew Selph, Brian Selph and Blake Selph.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home.
