Etta Christine Alford Hill

Farewell services for Etta Christine Alford Hill, 89, of White Oak will be held at 2 PM Sat., Jan. 28, 2012 at the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with the Pastor Terrill Laney Pearson officiating. A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 PM on Fri., Jan. 27, 2012.

Etta was born on Aug. 5, 1922 in Glenwood, TX to Sam & Annie Alford. She married Joseph Earl Hill on April 5, 1940 in East Mountain. They were married for 45 wonderful years till Joe's passing on March 10, 1985. Etta went to Heaven on Jan 25, 2012 to meet her wonderful Savior Jesus Christ and to reunite with all of her loved ones. Oh, what a glorious day of rejoicing.

Etta was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church in East Mountain.

Etta is survived by: Two sons: Coy Hill and his wife Clarwanda of Gladewater; and Johnny Hill and his wife Debbie of Longview, Grandchildren: Justin Hill and his wife Crystal of Longview; Susan Hogue and her husband Clint of Gladewater; Kevin Hill of Longview; Shawn Hill and his wife Aleesa of Longview; Stacey Valdes of Gladewater, TX; 13 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by: Her Parents, Her Husband: Joe, Son: Jerry Wayne Hill, Granddaughter: Ashley Hill, Two Brothers and Two Sisters.

Etta will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We will cherish ourprecious memories till the day we meet again in Heaven.
