On April 28, 2025 our beloved husband and father was called home to be with the Lord. Gary Wayne Sullins, 81 of Kilgore, Texas was born January 25, 1944 to Leland and Maxine Sullins, of Hammon, Oklahoma. Leland and Maxine moved their family to Longview, Texas in 1967. Shortly after, Gary met the love of his life, Sharon. Gary and Sharon wed on September 27th 1969. Gary had a love and passion for horses, often stating he was born 100 years too late. He was a skilled worker in every field he was a part of. His previous employments ranged from mechanics, finance, and the grocery business. His most recent career was owning and operating a residential and commercial building business. His construction reflected the immense pride and joy he took in his work.
As a husband and father, Gary guided his family in the ways of the Lord, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust in Him always. Gary found comfort in verses such as 2 Timothy, 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
Preceded in death are Gary's parents Leland Sullins and Maxine Sullins, and nephew Mike Sullins.
Gary is survived by his wife, Sharon Sullins, his son, Jeffery Sullins, his brothers Lanny Sullins (Sheila) Kilgore, TX. Ronnie Sullins (Patti) Kerens, TX; nieces, Kimberly Reedy (Dan) Pearland, TX. Michelle Boyd (Steve) Rosharon, TX; nephew Scott Garrett (Tamara) Ft. Collins, CO. Gary is also remembered by a special family friend, Hope Phillips, and her grandchildren who affectionately called him "Pop". Gary will always be in the hearts of a host of dear and loyal friends.
It is Gary's wish to not have traditional ceremonial services and would rather you spend time with your families and loved ones.
