James "Jim" Duke

Jim was born on January 6th, 1949, in Dallas, Texas to parents Helen and John Duke. Jim married Connie in 1991 and together they had three children. He worked as a salesman for Boardwalk Volkswagen in Dallas. Jim’s hobbies and interests included golf, gospel music, and devoting his time to his church.

Jim is preceded in death by his father John Duke, his mother Helen Duke Callison, and his brother John Duke II.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years Connie Duke; step-sister Beverly Callison; children Shonnie Stapp and husband Steve, Toni Byrge and husband Mike, and Jim Duke Jr.; grandchildren Grant Little and wife Lexi, Ashley Roberts and husband Andrew, Daulton Duke, Hunter Leatherman and wife Paige, Kirk Little and wife Sian, Bree Hickman and husband Carson, Jillian Johnson and husband Brennon, Janie Lynn Byrge, and Jenni Byrge; 10 great-grandchildren and beloved pup, Rosie the Schnauzer.

A service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church with visitation thirty minutes prior. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made in Jim's name to the Animal Rescue of Crosby County (ARCC), PO Box 561, Crosbyton, Texas 79322
