I have lived a good life. So please do not shed tears from my passing of this world. You see, I am more alive than I have ever been. On the 14th day of December, 2020, I was part of the most glorious reunion I could have ever imagined. I am finally home with my savior and all of those who came before me. I leave behind my three loving daughters Dena Dollison, Melisa Hoffman, and Connie Moore and the outstanding man I helped raise, Tray Moore. Also survived by Danny Black, my brother, of Hallsville Texas and his wife Jan, my sister, LaJean Sturman from Fort Worth and her husband Daniel; my grandchildren Daniel and Joshua Woodard, Danielle Spaulding, Tray Moore, Zackary Lynch, Rachel Dollison, Brytanie Moore and Jeffrey Hoffman, and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded by the love of my life James Daniel “Jimmy” McClung, and loving parents Mildred Julia and Art Stubbs, and Raymond and Evie Ponder, and sister Harriet Mijalis.
Our Mom, Jeanene, was a brave soul who gracefully passed after her brief battle with lung cancer. She always said she would make her way to Heaven via Montana. Mom prided herself on being a committed and interactive grandmother, one that would go to football games, be the loudest cheerleader, and yell “You can do it!”. She was always a listening ear for her daughter’s in their times of need. Nana never met a soul she wouldn’t call her own. Nana was the type of woman who would never give up on you, many of her friends she had for 60 or more years. For the past 35 years Nana has been her grandchildren’s number 1 dance partner, and she plays a mean air guitar. And we all know that so much sweetness comes some sass. We could never thank you enough for all the joy and spirit you brought to so many lives, your family will love and miss you, forever and always.
