Jennifer Thompson of Longview passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the age of 48. She was born July 25, 1973, in Dallas to parents Charles Lester Willard and Elvis Lauwana Wails. She attended Pine Tree High School.
Jennifer had a bubbly, easy-going personality and was the light over everyone’s life. She was generous, sometimes to a fault. She was a good cook, often throwing delicious meals together with the ingredients she had nearby. Her family would say that she was a busybody that could not stay still.
Ms. Thompson enjoyed riding around in her car and listening to her favorite rock bands. She also liked to sit out at the lake with friends and drinking coffee. She would often visit her daughters and make a whole pot of coffee, only to leave behind the full coffee cup after only taking two sips.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her daughter, Brittany Thompson; mother, Elvis Wails; sister, Michelle Kane; grandfather, Eliot Willard; and grandmother, Neza Willard.
She is survived by her daughters, Chelsey Preston and Megan Hays; son, Steven Thompson; father, Charles Willard; brother, Jeff Willard; aunt, Kathy Bessey; grandsons, Joshua Preston and Rowan Hays; and cousin, Tiffany Deonarie.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
