Memorial services for Jo (Jody) Valine Allen will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 28, 2018, at Lakeview Funeral Home. Mrs. Allen was born January 17, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas , to William R. and Sally O. Clark, and passed from this life on September 21, 2018 in Longview, Texas.
Jody was a Licensed Vocational Nurse, with over 40 years of experience, in all aspects of nursing. She graduated from Silsbee High School in 1969, after graduating she received her L.V.N. from Henderson School of Nursing in 1970. Mrs. Allen went on to receive certificates in OB/GYN from Baylor College of Medicine in 1983. Jody worked for Dr. Julia Van Burkelo for twenty years, and was Director of Records for Highland Pines Nursing Home for twelve years.
Jo Valine was never one to give up, she never quit. She was beautiful in God’s eyes because she was faithful , true, and constant. Mrs. Allen was a solid rock in terms of her character, her marriage, her family, her friends and her family.
Jo Valine is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Ashley Jo Allen, and sister, Dixie Bangs.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Howard W. Allen, Jr., son, Eric Allen and wife Heather, granddaughter Nina, and son-in-law Larry Wise, and sister, Becky Grisham and husband Eddie.
