Lillian Lil L Moore Maier

Services for Lillian L. “Lil” Maier, age 93 of Longview, will be Saturday, April, 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel with David Reeder and Ben Rempel officiating. The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Friday, April 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Lillian passed away Wednesday, April 20th in Longview.

Lillian was born on December 15, 1917 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Phillip Edward Moore and Katherine Oeters Moore. She graduated from high school in Cincinnati. She and her family moved to Longview in 1947. Lillian balanced work with motherhood perfectly, never missing being a mother to her children and a wife to her husband.

She was intellectually curious and enjoyed hearing accounts from her children and grandchildren about their experiences. Her life revolved around her family. Everyone who knew her will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chris L. Maier, sisters Jane and Elizabeth Moore, and brother Edward Moore.

She is survived by her sons Chris W. Maier and his wife Lucy of Ft. Worth, Dennis A. Maier and his wife Donna of Granite Shoals, Tx, Martin Edward Maier and his wife Valerie of Friendswood, Tx; and daughter Lynne M. Stout of Longview; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
