.Mary Magdalene Montgomery Hastings, 90, formerly of Longview, passed away November 11, 2016 in Tyler, Texas. She is survived by her son John Hastings and his wife Michelle of Round Rock, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years John “Bob” Hastings, a daughter Jane Nelson of Flower Mound Texas. Her beloved grandchildren include Anna Taylor of Flower Mound, John Marshall Nelson of Denton, Tommy Martinez of New York City, Taylor Hastings of Cedar Park, Texas, Zachary & Jakob Schroeder of Round Rock. She was also blessed with one great grandchild, James Taylor of Flower Mound.
Mary was born May 28, 1926 in Ada, Oklahoma to Richard Reese and Nova Anna Montgomery. She graduated from Ada High School and attended East Central Oklahoma University where she met and married Bob.
Services for Mrs. Hastings will be Friday November 18, 2016 at Lakeview Chapel at 10:00 AM. Visitation and viewing will be Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
