Melba Clauzelle Davidson, 84, formerly of Leverett’s Chapel, passed away Friday morning, April 26, 2013 in Mansfield, Texas. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Lakeview Memorial Gardens on Harrison Rd. in Longview, Texas with Brother Edwin Finley officiating.
Clauzelle was born December 30, 1928 in Norphlet, Arkansas to the late George Washington Johnston and Elsie Mauldin Johnston. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and a great granddaughter. She married Johnnie Leon Davidson (J.L.) on April 25, 1947 in East Mountain, TX. She was employed many years as a bookkeeper for Wingfield Builders in Kilgore.
Clauzelle is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, four children, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother and sister and numerous nieces and nephews.
