Nellie Copeland Pharr

Nellie Copeland Pharr, 101, of College Station, formerly of Longview, passed away August 1, 2016 at her residence in College Station. She was born February 16, 1915 in Ailey, Georgia to William Nelson Copeland and Verna Jeanette Copeland. She married Sherman Pharr, Sr. July 29, 1935 and he preceded her in death in 2002. She loved to travel with him while he was working for R.G. Letourneau.

She is survived by her children: Louise Hall and her husband, Pete, Mert Williams, Sherman Pharr, Jr and his wife Betty, Peggy Mackey and her husband Weldon; grandchildren: Fredia Layton and her husband Doug, Jessie Hall, Lynn Moorhead and her husband Jim, Sheila Fullilove and her husband William, Barry Williams, Hope Lienau and her husband Chris, Byron Mackey and his wife Donna, Sherman Pharr, III and his wife Vicki, Maris Moorehead, Ben Moorehead; great grandchildren: David Hall and his wife Christine, Alexis Fullilove, McKenzie Monroe, Reilly Monroe, Corbin Lienau, Addison Lienau, Grant Mackey, Garrett Mackey, Lucas Pharr; step great grandchildren: Corey Layton Smith, Trent Layton, Mathew Lienau, Brandon Lienau; one step great great grandchild: Makayla Smith. She is preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, grandsons: Scott Williams and Collin Lienau; and four brothers: Collins Copeland, Hubert Copeland, Curtis Copeland and Bobby Copeland.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Lakeview Funeral Home with services being held at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home.
