

Norma Ruth McLarry Moore died and made her journey to heaven on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Norma Ruth McLarry was born on June 30, 1926 in Colbert, OK to Vert Raymond and Hattie Cornelia McLarry. She was the youngest of 6 children.
She met and married Allen Lee Moore after WW II on May 17, 1945.
Norma devoted her life’s work to being a homemaker. She sewed, cooked, worked in the garden and canned vegetables and took care of her children because A. Lee worked six days a week and often long hours.
She had 3 children, a daughter LaDonna Lee Moore, a son Gary Raymond Moore (who passed shortly after birth) and a son Ronny Allen Moore.
She loved camping and traveling which she and A. Lee did after he retired from the railroad. She loved playing games, especially ‘42’, but also cards and bingo.
She was a devoted member and supporter of her church, Camille Acres Baptist Church (formerly Ware Acres Baptist Church) of which she was a charter member along with her family. She was a prayer warrior.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Lee Moore; her parents; one son, Gary Raymond; and her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter LaDonna Moore of Longview, TX; her son Ronny Moore and wife Julie of Flint, TX; 3 grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer Schubert and husband Ben of Bay City, TX; Lindsay Moore and wife Shauna of Mansfield, Tx; Clint Moore of Tyler, TX; 4 great grandchildren, Caleb Moore, Madeline Moore, Gloria Moore and Roxanna Moore and mother Jo Wolcott.
We want to express our appreciation to LifeCare Health Services for the wonderful hospice services they provided, especially Tracie, Sandra and Sheila.
A memorial service will be held at Camille Acres Baptist Church of Longview on Saturday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to Camille Acres Baptist Church Building Fund, 2920 Gilmer Rd., Longview, TX 75604.
