

Richard John Andresen left this life on March 21, 2012. He was born in Seward, NB to A. J. Andresen and Meta Stulich on December 29, 1930. He grew up in Sioux City, IA and graduated from Central High School in 1948. A veteran of the U.S. Air force from 1948 to 1955, he served in Japan during the Korean War. He was active in the VFW, both in Richardson, TX and here in Longview at Post 4002, serving in the Color Honor Guard for several years. He retired from Ecolab, Inc. in 1992 where he had worked for 24 years. It was at this time that he and his wife decided to spend their retirement years in Longview.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Louise Andresen; daughter Barbara Lynn Armstrong, Mountainair, NM; daughter Christy Lee Bowers and husband Robert James Bowers, Longview, TX; daughter Terry Ann Methenitis and husband William Anthony Methenitis, Dallas, TX; daughter Bonny Lou Andresen, Wylie, TX. He has been blessed with grandson Michael Alan Davis, Stoughton, WI; granddaughter Angela Davis Padellaro and husband Frank Vincent Padellaro, Jr, Deering, NH; grandson Ryan James Bowers and wife Ashley Elizabeth Bowers, Longview; grandson Aaron John Bowers and wife Marquise Marie Bowers, Wylie, TX; grandson Mark Anthony Methenitis and wife Krystal Marie Methenitis, Dallas, TX; granddaughter Molly Louise Sharp and husband T. J. Sharp, Columbus, OH; granddaughter Miranda Renee Luxem and husband Todd Anthony Luxem, Wylie. TX. The delights of his life are great grandchildren Veronica Jolee and Korbin Alexander Bowers, Wylie, TX; and Luke Anthony Methenitis, Dallas, TX. An additional great grandson and great granddaughter are due in his family in July. He tried very hard to wait for them. He is also survived by his remaining sister, Carole Falck and her husband John Falck of Wrightstown, WI. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Jeanne Graf.
The viewing will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Lakeview Funeral Home, with the burial service to follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. Officiating will be Fr. Mark Dunne. Internment will follow.
