

Funeral services for Robert H. “Bob” Luman, 78, of Longview will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in the chapel at Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview, with Rev. Ray Tenpenny officiating. Masonic burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mr. Luman passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011. He was born in Shelby County to Leroy and Louise Luman. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Maxine Millis; a brother, Ray Luman; and, a special grandson, Keith Griffin. He is survived by the love of his life, Carolyn H. Luman; two sons, Gary and wife Crystal Luman of Irving, and Kevin and wife Susan Luman of Longview; two daughters, Janet and husband Donald Sullivan of Longview, and Tammy and husband Mike Hutchinson of Irving; stepdaughter, Gail and husband Perry Pettit of Kilgore; stepson, Larry Means; three brothers, Monroe Luman, H.L. Luman and Larry Luman, all of Longview; two sisters, Pauline Fountain and Christine Trammel, both of Longview; as well as 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
He was a long haul freight driver for ETMF and ABF which he retired from in 1995. He was a member of Teamster’s Local 568 in Shreveport, LA and Teamster’s 745 in Dallas, TX. He was a Road Steward at both locations. He was also a member of Scottish Rite in the valley of Waco. He was a Master Mason at Pine Tree Lodge # 1396 in Longview and a member of Sharon Shriners in Tyler, TX. He was also a member of Gregg County Scottish Rite, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Longview, Elks Fraternal of Longview, and the NRA.
