Graveside services for Valerie Ivy will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Ivy was born August 27, 1954, in Roanoke, Alabama to Wesley and Mary Moon Cunningham and passed away October 20, 2012 in Tyler, Texas.
Valerie loved the outdoors, she loved to garden, and watch the humming birds around her feeders, but most of all she loved her family. She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Mary Virie DeChristofaro and Chris DeChristofaro and a brother, James Phillip Cunningham. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Garry Ivy; daughters, Vicki Gilbert of Kilgore; and Christie Adams and husband Brandon of Kilgore; son, Danny Gilbert, Jr. and wife Nona of Kilgore, step-son Aaron Ivy and family of Longview, granddaughters, Celeste Anthony; Cailey Brown; Alexis Howard; Alyssa Howard; Samantha Gilbert; and grandsons, Nickalas Brown; Isaac Gilbert; Malkon Gilbert; and Dakota Davis.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Lakeview Funeral
