Vallie LeeAnn Green

Vallie LeaAnn Morgan Green, age 67, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 7th, 2020 surrounded by family. She was born on January 7, 1953 in Morgan City, La. to the late Adam Morgan and Pat Vining Plaisance. She lived in Winona with her husband, Johnny Green of 52 years. They were married on May 31, 1968 and she loved taking care of him and was very happy raising her family with him. She had four children and raised two grandchildren, Crystal and husband, Larry Powell, Gwyn Green and partner, Alan Starr, Sonya and husband, Melvin Henry, and Johnny Michael and wife, Laurie Green; grandchildren Stephen Wells, Maci Winderweedle, Kaisee Warren, Halee Powell, Caleb Henry, Chelsea Green, Dustin Powell and Madison Warren, Bayleigh Kaspar, Jakob Ferris and Matthew Ellis; great grandchildren, Ashton, Abbigail, Troy, Carter, Cecelia, Case and Payzlee, Brock, Kaydence and Avery. And she loved having every one of us at her home. Vallie graduated Lafourche Parish and worked many hours doing what she loved, cooking. She loved family gatherings most and loved cooking for everyone she knew. She lived her life for God first, husband 2nd, and 3rd her family. If you came to her home, she would make you feel like you belonged there and made sure you left feeling loved. She was a mother bear to everyone, young and old. She was the best at being a wife and mother. Her children says she made their childhood the best, always making sure they always had a great time and always joining in on that fun. She always took pride in what she did, down to making Johnny’s Army uniform the best ironed there. She took an active role in helping raise her siblings which included five, Eunice (Nana), Essie (Tutt), Karen (Boo), Sharon (Skinny), and Sterling (Moe).Other siblings included, Larry Morgan, Linda Morgan, Patricia Hayes, Adam (Peanut) Morgan, Belinda Plaisance, Joy Plaisance and Philip (Man) Plaisance,III; and her uncle, who she was raised with and very close to, Tracy Vining. Vallie was preceded in death by her first child, Cynthia Green; father, Adam Morgan; mother, Pat Plaisance; her grandparents who helped raise her, Essie Vining and Sterling Vining; three sisters, Linda Morgan, Belinda Plaisance, and Joy Plaisance; and brother, Adam (Peanut) Morgan. Vallie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Lakeview Funeral Home. A Celebration of Vallie's Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2020 at Living Word Church, 1567 Farm to Market Rd. 1252 East, Kilgore, Texas 75662.
