Viola was born on January 29, 1938 in Kilgore, Texas to M.M. and Allie Harding. She graduated from Leverett’s Chapel High School. She loved to spend her time reading, camping and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Viola is survived by her husband of 57 years, W. Burl Burton, sons Stanley Burton of Kilgore and Stephen Burton and Connie Baxter of Longview, daughters Susan Oglesby and her husband Mike of Kilgore and Sheryl Bradford and her husband Alfred of Laird Hill, grandchildren Jennifer Beebe of Laird Hill, Bradley Peace, Mikki Peace, Chris Oglesby and Josh Peace all of Kilgore, great grandchildren Peyton and Tyler Beebe of Laird Hill, Trey Epps of Kilgore and Brayden Williams of Kilgore, sisters Glenna Glasco of Kilgore and Sally Jones of Tyler, brother Dalton (Butch) Harding of Mesquite, stepmother Peggy Harding of Kilgore, and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert Harding.
