

He was born on February 26th, 1943, in Sunbury, Pennsylvania to Ruth Neidig and Lloyd Christian. He then graduated from Bloomsburg State College in 1969, as well as graduated from the Evangelical School of Theology in 1972.
He served in the Air Force from 1962 to 1966; he then re-enlisted after college from 1975 to 1992. He then went on to marry Sharon Christian in 1970, and the couple had two children. He was an Air Force chaplain where he worked for over 20 years, then was a charter bus driver.
In his spare time William (Bill) enjoyed watching hockey, also going to his grandson's soccer games, being active in his church and enjoying his friends at Discovery Village. His family and friends will always remember him as a caring and loving father and grandfather and a good friend with a service-oriented heart.
He is survived by his son Mark Christian, his daughter Amy White and his two grandsons, Dylan and Cole Christian. He also survived by stepdaughter Jenifer Ruod, and stepson Jimmy Couper. He is preceded in death by Franji Christian and Melody Christian.
When he enlisted in the military, he received many awards like the National Defense Medal, Longevity Award and the Good Conduct Medal. His officer awards included Meritorious Service Medal, First Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Achievement Medal, as well as many accommodations and accolades from those he helped and higher ups during his career.
