William L. Turner Jr. was born in Houston, Texas on July 31, 1967. He was raised by his parents, Ruth and William L. Turner Sr. Although he was the baby of the family, sharing that title with his twin brother, he always had a strong sense of taking care of others.
William was always busy. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and never complained about the sacrifices he made. At work, William was always getting involved with the tasks that needed to be done. He wasn’t the type to sit around and watch others without lending a helping hand. At home, he instilled core values in his five children - teaching them life skills and how to be selfless. William never knew a stranger, he could be stern but had a heart as big as Texas.
Besides working, William loved spending time with family. William loved being a dad and PawPaw. Some of his favorite hobbies were building/carpentry, hunting, fishing and traveling.
William tragically passed away in Longview, Texas on November 8th, 2025 due to cancer. He has met his late wife, parents and siblings at the pearly gates. His legacy of being a true friend is carried on by his five children: Devin, Amanda, Harmonie, Patience and Kyler and many grandchildren.
Please say a big prayer for his family, they lost the best person they know.
