William "Billy" Glen White, Jr.

Billy graduated from the Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, LA. He then served his country by joining the U.S. Navy. After serving his country, he returned home and married Charlotte Gardner on August 30, 1975 in Bossier City.

Mr. White loved his grandkids, especially enjoying taking them on trips on the boat and on outings in the camper trailer. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and working with wood. He had retired from Schlumberger a couple years back after working for them for 31 years. After retiring, he continued working as a well site consultant.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Charlotte of White Oak, TX.; Sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff and Amy White of Longview, TX.; Zach and Ann White of Longview, TX.; Sisters and Brother-in-Law: Carolyn Glasscock of Springhill, LA.; Diane Allen and her husband, Dempsey of Caspiana, LA.; Mother: Joyce White of Shreveport, LA.; and his grandchildren: Baylee, Breyden, and Sloane. He is preceeded in death by his father: William G. White, Sr., his mother-in-law: Eunice Gardner, and his brother-in-law: Fred Gardner.

Funeral Services for Mr. White will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 14, 2011, at the Chapel of the Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Kaunitz officiating. Burial will follow at Lakview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 6-8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
