On October 29, 2020, Celia Arrieta Vasquez, a beloved mother, stepmother, wife, daughter, sister, “Tita”, and step-grandma, passed away. Celia, better known to many as Sally, was born in Los Angeles, California, on August 9, 1951. She grew up in Lincoln Heights & East Los Angeles, California where she later lived the rest of her life. A creative and colorful individual, her artistic side shined through in her favorite hobbies, sewing & embroidering. For many years she enjoyed her career as a teacher’s assistant and in her later years as a staff assistant. Helping others seemed to be an important aspect in her life. Celia was a warm, loving and generous person. Family was central to her; in many ways she was the glue that
held everything together. She loved nothing more than to care for others, especially those closest to her. A devoted mother to her two children, she often and eagerly
played the role of a secondary mother to many of her family members, friends, animals, or anyone that just needed a little affection. Although she is no longer
with us, she leaves behind an impacting legacy of love. She is survived by her two children, husband, mother, three siblings, two nephews, great-niece & great nephew.
