Ivan (Bill) Traucht passed away peacefully at home on March 5th 2016 following a brief battle with brain cancer at the age of 78.
He was born on Jan 26 1938 in Santa Monica to Ivan and Evelyn Traucht. He was their only child. He was a graduate of U.S.C and continued to obtain a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in 1977. He taught at Venice High School until he retired on disability in the early 1980’s.
A complex person, with a brilliant mind, a passion for Bach and a great love of dogs. His friends were his family and he will be missed so very much.
Services will be held on Friday, March 18th. Visitation 11:00 to Noon, with chapel service to follow at Gates, Kingsley & Gates, Moeller Murphy at 1925 Arizona Ave, Santa Monica. Interment will then follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, next to his parents. Private reception to follow interment.
