Juan Jose Quintero

Juan was born on February 19, 1969 in Los Angeles CA to Micaela Montes de Oca and Roberto Quintero. Juan is the second of six siblings and grew up in Lincoln Heights. He attended Our Lady Help of Christians elementary and Sacred Heart grammar school. Attended Cathedral High School and graduated Class of 1987. He went on to L.A. Trade Tech and received a degree in carpentry, and shortly thereafter obtained his California Contractors State License. ,

Juan was a hardworking and loving family guy who gave everything for his daughter Jacqueline and sons John Paul and Noah de Dios. He enjoyed traveling to his parent's beloved hometown of Autlan, Jalisco Mexico. For most of his adult life he built custom homes. He was passionate about his 1969 Chevy Pick up truck, enjoyed music and signing. Baseball and basketball was his pastime. I don't think he ever made up his mind if he was a Trojan and Bruin.

On October 2005, Juan was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and was determined to beat it. He was a true warrior and lived with ALS for 15 years. Nothing was going to get in his way. In the early stages of ALS he made a very noble decision to prolong his life to be an example to his children that in the face of adversity you don't give up and you do what you can to preserver and never give up.

On August 26, 2020, our Lord Jesus Christ called for him and he answered. He was surrounded by his parents, siblings, nephews and nieces.

Juan Jose QUINTERO, age 51, of Los Angeles, California passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Juan was born February 19, 1969.

The funeral services for Juan will be held Friday Sept. 4 and Saturday Sept. 5

Due to Covid-19 the Quintero Family will be streaming the viewing, rosary and funeral services on Facebook live under “Rebecca Quintero Lopez” in Spanish/English.
