Passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Lino Espinoza, a devoted father, grandfather, and friend to many. Born in Guanajuato, Mexico to Bernardino Espinoza and Andrea Peredo, Lino built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Lino was a proud and loving father, survived by his children: Tony Espinoza, Yvette Espinoza, and Roxanne Melendez. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bertha Melendez, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
A true fan at heart, Lino never missed a Dodgers or Lakers game—cheering passionately and loyally, win or lose. His love for sports was matched only by his love for people. Known as a people person, Lino had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and supported. He was always there when you needed him, with a kind word, a story to share, or simply his comforting presence.
Lino found joy in the little things: morning coffee from McDonald’s with a donut in hand, tending lovingly to his garden, and the occasional trip to Las Vegas, where he enjoyed the thrill of the slot machines. But nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Lino's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and an unshakable love for family. His warm smile, easy laugh, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
He will be greatly missed, but his memory will forever live on in our hearts.
