She loved to cook for all anytime they visited her. Her famous potato salad, chicken salad and tamales were requested for many gatherings. Every December for 52 years she celebrated the Posadas. Each Posada consisted of her leading the prayer of the Rosary and singing. At each celebration she fed all her guests and made sure each child and adult recieved a gift.
Throughout the 58 years that Guadalupe resided in the Augusta home, she did not only help out her kids, grand kids and relatives but also those who lived in the community. She always made sure she could offer her visitors a cold drink, pan dulce, candy or gum and the children always knew they would get a few dollars to buy themselves an ice cream.
