Pedro Guzman Jr, age100, of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, surrounded by his daughter and grandson.
Born on January 28, 1925, in Los Angeles California to Pedro Guzman Sr and Luisa (Hernandez) Guzman.
Pedro Guzman Jr known to family and friends as Pete was raised in the Rose Hill area of Los Angeles California. In 1943 at the age of 18 Pete chose to enlist in the United Stated Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946. Soon after Pete met his future wife Irene Huguez and married April 24, 1948. They remained in the Rose Hill area and raised three children, Peter David, Larry Frank and Shirley Irene.
Pete loved his family and was devoted to his Church. Pete enjoyed going to Santa Anita Racetrack and nearby Casinos.
He is survived by his daughter Shirley Guzman son Larry Guzman and 4 Grandsons: Peter David Guzman, Steven Randolph Guzman, Michael Joseph Guzman, Larry Martin Gonzalez 1 Great Grand Daughter Christina Guzman and 1 Great Great-Granddaughter Noemi Jean Stapleton & sister Lillian. Preceded in death by His wife Irene, son Peter, brothers, Louie, Johnny, Richard and sister Bertha.
