
Roberta Virginia "Ginny" Moore Roberta Virginia "Ginny" Moore, 75, of Morro Bay, passed away September 18, 2017, in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Ginny was born in Watertown, South Dakota to Mel and Helen Hauff on March 15, 1942. She went to high school at Tulare High School and graduated in 1960. She went on to earn a degree in Special Education from Fresno State University and taught Special Education for over 30 years. Ginny was a devoted member of the Rock Harbor Christian Fellowship, Red Hat Society, Estero Bay Newcomers Club and held several Bible Study session weekly in her home. She enjoyed reading, studying the bible, cooking, and was well known for her homemade biscotti, visiting neighbors with her dog/companion, "Duchess," and spending time with her family. Ginny is preceded in death by her father, Mel (Del) Hauff; mother, Helen (Jim) Colgrove; and son, Mark Bixler. Ginny is survived by her brothers: Gus (Gloria) Hauff of Tipton, Frank (Linda) Hauff of Jacksonville Ala., Bob (Doreen) Hauff of Oakdale and Rick (Laurie) Hauff of Truckee; son, Scott (Michaela) Bixler of Grover Beach; four grandchildren: Megan, Derek, Austin, and Kaila Bixler; and seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the French Hospital for their care in her final days and the Rock Harbor Christian Fellowship for their spiritual guidance in life and in passing. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 1, 2017, at the Rock Harbor Christian Fellowship, 1475 Quintana Rd. Morro Bay, Calif. Her final remains will be scattered at sea next to her mother, Helen and stepfather Jim Colgrove.
