She graduated from University of Louisville and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Jackie retired from the Louisville Zoo and was a longtime volunteer at the Louisville Zoo, the Kentucky Derby Museum and the Falls of Ohio State Park.
Jackie served as president of the Hikes Point Woman's Club, the Outriders Society of the Derby Museum, Past Presidents' Leadership Council, and a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Conner and her sister, Patricia Alexander.
Jackie is survived by sons, Gregory (Betty), and Richard (Paulina), three granddaughters and four great-granddaughters.
A celebration of Jackie’s life will be on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 2 pm, Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, followed by inurnment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visiting hours are Saturday from 12 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to Kosair Kids or the Louisville Zoo.
