Al was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Weissrock, Sr. and Margaret Weissrock and grandson Ryan Moore.
Here to carry on his memory is his adoring wife of 43 years, Joan Weissrock; their children Kim Rhodes, Mark Weissrock, Troy Moore (Lydia) and Jeremy Weissrock (Jennifer). His grandchildren Travis Rhodes, Ryan Weissrock, Joshua Weissrock, Toby Moore, Max Weissrock and Lucius Weissrock and a great-grandbaby Ryan Rhodes; his siblings Jean Combs and Betty Adams (David); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Al proudly spent 4 years in the U.S.A.F., going on to retire from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of diligent work. He shared the passion of faith with everybody he met, but mostly with his beloved Joan, going on many mission trips throughout their years of marriage together. He also loved cars and car racing, and he volunteered for the Red Cross for 32 years.
A visitation for Al will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A committal service will occur Monday, August 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213.
