

Alan Elliott Revell, 80, joined our heavenly father Tuesday, June 16 after a long battle with lung cancer. Alan was a graduate of Male High, U of L Speed School and retired from Allis Chalmers/American Air Filter as a supervising engineer after 34 years with 32 U. S. patents. He served on the board of Directors and Ethics Commission for the City of Goose Creek, and was a past member of Rebels, Bells “n” Beaus, and the Swinging Y square dance clubs.
Alan is survived by his wife of 59 years (9 days before their 60th wedding anniversary) Shirley (Temple) Revell, 6 children; sons - Mark (fiance’ Debbie Mullaney) and Chris (Carol) Revell; daughters –Kim (Larry) Pinotti, Cindy (Michael) Chasteen, Jan (Joe) Veneklase and Gail (John) Corso; 12 Grandchildren – Sonya Revell (Jesus Aguilar), Eden Revell, Conor and Caitlin Revell (finance’ Timothy McNiff) , Austin and Jared Chasteen, Tyler Poore, Megan Thomason Revell (Alixandria) and Olivia Veneklase and Mackenzie, Kelsey and Chloe Corso; 6 step- grandchildren; a sister – Colleen (Jim deceased) Heuser; and brothers Don (Susan) Revell, Rich (Peggy) Revell and Edwin (Jeanette) Revell.
Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:30 AM on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 S. 6th St. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 4 - 8pm on Thursday at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.
