Rae retired from Tube Turns where he worked as a tool and die maker. His service during World War II was with the United States Navy, where he was stationed in the Pacific. He was a member of Watterson Trail Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy.
Rae is survived by son, Albert Rae Taylor Jr.(Diane), two grandsons, Keith and Mark, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons.
Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 2 pm Monday at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave, with visitation at 1 pm Monday.
