He was the owner of Residential Exterior Specialists, achieved the rank of Sergeant in the United States Army National Guard and served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom where he was awarded the bronze star medal. Skip also served in the merchant marine.
He is preceded in death by his Step-father, Winston B. Crisp, and father, Alfred James Herrmann.
Skip is survived by his mother, Sue Crisp of Shepherdsville KY, Siblings, Brett Williams (Rhonda), Eric Herrmann (Cara), Larry Crisp (Ama), Nina Leigh (Shane), Kevin Crisp and Tommy Crisp (Holly), nieces, nephews, and siblings in NY.
A celebration of Skip’s life will be conducted at noon on Monday, November 3, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 5-8pm on Sunday, November 2, 2014 and after 11am the day of the funeral.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Project 22.
