He is proceded in death by his mother and father, William and Alma Nix, his brother Jimmy Nix and sister Delores Ruhs.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sharon. He is also survived by his children Frank (Bonnie) and Rodney (Angela), siblings Gene, Robert and Joe Nix, Diane Carpenter and Sharon Kemp. Alfred will also be missed by five grandchildren; Craig, Hope, Megan, Jake and Jaxon.
A celebration of Alfred’s life will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 12:00pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven. Interment will be Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.
