Aline was born on October 22, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Trommler was retired from the Jefferson County Board of Education and was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church on Goldsmith Lane.
Aline was preceded in death by her parents, Bert Gittings and Helen Feger Gittings, her siblings, Bert Gittings, Everett Gittings, Irvin Gittings, and Barbara Texas.
She is survived by; her husband, Lloyd Trommler Sr., a sister, Virginia Schindler (Ken), a son, Lloyd Trommler, Jr. M.D. (Robin), a daughter, Helene Trommler; grandchildren, Matthew McCormick (Julie), Rebecca DiCicco (Joseph), Bria House (Jimmy), Ashley Trommler, as well as four great grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd., the afternoon of Monday, December 11th, from 2:00-8:00 pm. A burial will be held the following morning, Tuesday, December 12th, 11:00 am. at Cave Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations be made to St. Jude Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, or the Kentucky Humane Society.
