Derringer, Amy Janes,76, of Louisville, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Springhurst Pines. She was born April 13, 1941 in Springfield, KY. She later moved to Louisville where she worked at Colgate-Palmolive, and raised her family. Amy enjoyed country music and loved to cook for her family with everyone in agreement that her rolls were the best.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Margaret Janes, brother, Jack; her sisters, Christine Janes, Belle Beam, Margaret Carrico and Sara Rita Yeates.
She is survived by her loving children, John, Dottie (Kieran) Sheridan, and Kevin (Cathy); brothers, Joe (Monie), Mike, Dickie (Sue), and Tommy; her sisters, Ella Frances Freeman (John) and Mary Legel; sister in-law, Margaret Buckman; grandchildren, Kelsi, Melanie, Rachel, Carson, Megan, Ryan, and Casey; and her great-grandson, Caiden.
Visitation is Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville from 1pm until 8 pm.
A Celebration of Amy's life will be held at 5:30 pm at the funeral home. Entombment: Resthaven Memorial
