Hickerson, Ann L., 73, went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 25, 2016. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devout Catholic and was a lifetime member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, going to the Derby Dinner Playhouse with close friends, and was an avid Elvis fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Cox and her parents, George and Alta “Tootie” Cissell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Deborah Hickerson (James Scrogham Jr.), Paul Hickerson (DeVona), Melissa Matthews (James), Melissa Carnell, and Bill Nunez (Lourdes); grandchildren, Danielle, Justin, Audrey, Gavin, Amanda, Brittany, Jeremy, Joshua, and Jonathan; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond and Bobby Cissell; and beloved dog, Snuggles.
A Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:00am at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 4211 Jim Hawkins Drive. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery following the Mass.
