Anna M. Hettinger

Anna M. Dahl Hettinger, 94, of Louisville, passed away in her apartment at Parr’s at Springhurst, her home for 6 years, with her daughter by her side. She was born August 27, 1917 to the late Charles Dahl and Hildegard Dries Dahl.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas “Nick” Hettinger, her brothers, Earl K. “Bud” Dahl and Charles Michael “Mike” Dahl, and her sister Clara Dahl Covill.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Judy Hettinger; nieces, Dorothy Adams, Susan Wilkerson, Donna Buss and Carol Lighthouse; nephew, Jim Covill; and special friends, Nancy Smith and Family, Janet Bryan, Mary Lou Ulmer, and Cathy Agnew.

Anna retired from Bacons and volunteered for The Dream Factory. She was a lifetime member of Christ Evangelical United Church of Christ at Barret and Breckinridge.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 am Friday, December 9, 2011 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 3 pm to 8 pm.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the loving and caring staff at Parr’s and to the Hosparus staff who helped in her final weeks.
