Anna Marie Wood

Wood, Anna Marie, 87, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017. Anna, a native to the Louisville area, was born to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Grasch) Morehead. As a Baptist, Anna’s faith was an important part of her life. She was known for her green thumb, her love for gardening and her love for her animals.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gene Wood; brother, Charles Morehead Jr; son, Dr. Don Wood Jr; and son in law, Buddy Elmore.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Joyce Elmore, Janet Winfrey (John), and Mark Wood (Pam). Also to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Kirsten Wood, Conner Wood, Melissa Bunker (Daniel), Michelle Elmore, Christopher Winfrey (Yeny), David Winfrey, Katherine Mathe (Ken), Gabe Wood (Caroline), and Amy Miller (Andy); and great-grandchildren, Caleb Bunker, Micah Bunker, Matthew Reverdito, Hailey Reverdito, Camila Winfrey, Marcos Winfrey, Dylan Mathe, and Brayden Mathe.

A celebration of life is scheduled on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Luke’s Chapel, 7504 Westport Road, Louisville Kentucky 40222, followed by a procession to Resthaven Memorial Park for burial. Visitation will be held at the same location from 9:00am until the time of service.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Episcopal Church Home for their loving care over the last few years.
