

Annette Turner, 95, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and love for her family and friends knew no bounds. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone she met and her absence leaves a void for all.
Annette was born in Taylor County, KY on April 15, 1929 and was retired from General Electric, and had worked previously at City Hall and American Standard, a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Valley Station. She was a Greeter in the Kosair Shriner’s, a member of the Rat Racers Dance Club. She also worked at Churchill Downs as a greeter and volunteered at Park Terrace. She modeled for Alex Adams and was featured in a commercial for Druthers. She loved to travel, see new places and meet new people; never one to meet a stranger and always offering a beautiful smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester A. Stayton & Zella Barr Stayton; her husband James Turner; sisters, Barbara Perkins, Sondra Powell; brothers Keith Stayton, Dean Stayton and Leonard Stayton. She is survived by her son Gary Turner (Sandy) and daughter Cheri Wilson; three grandsons, Jason Turner, Jeremy Turner and Joshua Wilson and one great grandson Tyler; sister-in-laws Rita Stayton and Wilma Stayton and many nieces & nephews.
A visitation for Annette will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8 PM at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, Louisville. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 12:00, visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
