

Born in Edmonson County, Kentucky on Monday, September 24, 1945, Arthur was the son of the lates' Carl Wilson and Lucille Browning. Art was a two time past master of Robinson - Plumb Masonic Lodge #266 where he was a 47 year member, he was past master of ACME and the Highland Park Lodge #865. He was a two time Past Monarch Aahmed Grotto and was a 25 year member of Kosair Shrine Temple. Art was also a member of Robinson - Plumb Square club and a member of the Scottish Rite and Purity Eastern Star Chapter.
Art served his nation with pride and honor in the United States Army before being discharged as an E-5. During his time in the military, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, was an expert with an M-14 Rifle and received military education on Military Justice as well as the Geneva Convention. He went to serve one year with the National Guard.
He was a member of Highland Square Dancers and loved to fish, hunt and travel. Art retired from General Electric and Swope Mitsubishi.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lucille Wilson; and grandson, Connor.
Art leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Wilson; son, Arthur (Sindy) Wilson, Jr.; grandchildren, Erin and Keeva Wilson; nieces, Cathy Byers and Freeda Harris; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. in the Heady Memorial Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel. Art will be laid to rest in the Christus Garden of Evergreen Cemetery and Garden Mausoleums following the service. Visitation will be held on August 7, 2025 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and then again on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
