Barbara K. Hoover

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wesley Hoover; her son, Mark Hoover; and her parents, Allen and Emily McFelia.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Crittenden (Brent) and Meredith Ward (Donnie); her granddaughters, Elycia Crittenden and Erin Crittenden; and her faithful beagle, Khloe, who rarely left her side.

Barbara dedicated many years of her professional life to caring for others, serving both as a medical assistant and later as a medical office manager for 30 years. She was an animal lover and an animal advocate. She rescued every pet she ever had. She had a soft spot for all hound dogs.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky. A funeral service will follow immediately at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
