Barbara June Hutchison

Hutchison, Barbara June, 102, was called home Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was born in Woodland Ca. to Edward and Edna Opie Smith June 11, 1915. She was preceded in death by her parents, her younger sister, Lurline Sullivan and her husband of 28 years, David W Hutchison; granddaughter, Linda Anderson and great grandson, Chris Fowler. She is survived by daughters, Joy Golson (Dick) of Sun Lakes, AZ and Gaye Bolton.; grandchildren Alan Brewer, Dennis Brewer (Michelle), Debra Fowler (Larry), Cheryl Willett (Tim), and Bryan Newton (Melissa); 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara and David followed a leading by God to move to Louisville in 1947. She was a woman dedicated to serving God. She oversaw the music department of Christian Assembly Church and was the choir director for nearly 50 years. She was a true example of Godly love and sacrificial service to her family and others, spending her time visiting the sick, and always ready to help where needed. To her, love was not a word, it was an action. She has impacted so many lives and will be remembered for so many for years to come.

Visitation will be at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy on Friday from 1- 8 pm. Her funeral service will held at Christian Assembly Church, 9020 Stonestreet Rd Saturday at 12:30 pm with visitation beforehand. Interment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

In lieu of Flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus or her church, Christian Assembly.
