He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy and granddaughter, Danielle Wilkerson.
Bennie is survived by his children, Robin (Anthony, Jr) Yates and Todd (Valarie) Wilkerson; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Bennie retired from Ford Ky Truck Plant where he was a modification technician. He was also the former member of Board of Trustees for Zoneton and Okolona Fire Departments.
Bennie and his wife were life-long deer hunting partners. He was also a hunting party leader at Fort Knox for many years.
He was fiercely loved and respected by all who knew him.
Mr. Wilkerson’s visitation is Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, March 15 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville. He will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorials to Hosparus in Bennie’s honor are welcome.
