Stevenson, Bertha Jean, 79, passed away October 2, 2016. She was a retired Dietitian Supervisor at the old Methodist Evangelical Hospital, member of the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary Post 9, and Eastern Star. Bertha will be loved and cherished by all.
She will be greeted in Heaven by her husband, Kenneth “Ray” Stevenson; son, Kenneth Stevenson; parents, George and Nellie Giles; and siblings, Joe, Sam, and Magdalene.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tanya Slone and Pamela Newman; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn “Sadie” Hammock.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 2 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel with entombment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 am-2 pm at the funeral home.
