Betty Marrillia, 79, of Clifton Heights, passed away unexpectedly, July 23, 2015. Born in Lebanon, Kentucky, May 24, 1936, Betty was the daughter of the late Anna Louise Hill Cox and Granville Cox. Betty’s entire life was surrounded by her God and her family. She was a long-time, devoted member of Clifton Heights Christian Church. She was predeceased by her sister, Anna Mae Sympson and her brothers, Raymond L. Cox, Sr. and Robert M. Cox.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Edward Marrillia, her daughters, Judy Gootee (Rusty) and Carol Hampton (Ronnie), her son, James E. Marrillia, Jr. (Judy), five siblings: Mildred Bisig, William “Buddy” Cox, Dorothy Mosher, John Cox and Debbie Shoemaker, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She leaves behind her many friends whom she loved as family.
Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Arch L. Heady-Cralle , 2428 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at noon in the chapel of the funeral home followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
